The family of a young Oklahoma woman says she died of a gunshot wound after an antique 1891 rifle fell off a bedroom dresser and discharged a round that hit her in the back, a TV station reports. Police said Destanie Leeson, 20, died Saturday night in an apartment in Midwest City, Okla. But in an interview with the Daily News, Police Chief Brandon Clabes refused to provide an account of how Leeson was shot, saying only that the matter was under investigation. Leeson, who was engaged, was visiting a neighboring apartment in the Chestnut Square Apartments when she was killed, her family told Oklahoma News9.
