The federal budget deficit during Barack Obamas tenure has declined from 10.1% of GDP to 3% by the end of the quarter dropping at the fastest rates since WWII. Federal spending has decreased from 24% of GDP to 21% and continues dropping... while federal revenues are growing at some of the fastest rates ever seen. The budget deficit has decreased by 35% in the last year alone. I would think that given the importance the Republicans placed on reducing the deficit, they would be on their feet wildly cheering Barack Obama!
