The festive night had reached in its culmination. She was supposed - TopicsExpress

The festive night had reached in its culmination. She was supposed to be waiting for him on bed in their beautifully decorated room just like any other bride of the world. But she was far from getting calm and reacting like a typical shy wife. It had been 2 hours since they got married but there was no sign of him anywhere. At first she was remembering all his threats just the day before and becoming crimson red. Soon that shyness turned in to desperation to meet him and get it over with. Then her head overpowered her heart and told that it was not normal for him to be so late for his wedding night. After that confusion has converted in to worry followed by panic. She was pacing around the room…….HER room and trying to call him. But her call never reached his cell phone. The operator was saying that it was switched off. She felt like smashing that phone with her bare hands. She was just 1 or half minute away from breaking down when someone knocked at her door and whispered from outside- ‘He is here’. She quickly wiped her tears and checked her appearance in the mirror. ‘Damn my make-up, it’s all smudged. I am looking horrible. Couldn’t he just spare me this tension in our wedding night??’ She didn’t have that patience to sit on bed as if nothing happened. ‘I have to take charge this time. Mr Zain Abdullah!!! What do you think of yourself?? That you can play this game with me?? I swear, I will make sure that you KNOW what I felt in the last 2 hours. I promise that I will……’ she couldn’t finish that line mentally before he appeared in front of her. Every plan that she seeded in her mind to punish her newlywed husband for making her wait……escaped through the window. He was looking absolutely gorgeous as always. That white and golden combination of his sherwani was enhancing the scale of his handsomeness from every angle. But that was not the problem. His eyes were disturbed, his face was unreadable, his jaw was clenched tight and his muscles were stiffened. He walked toward her and before she could ask him anything, he picked her up…..in his arms and her jaw dropped just having a closer look at his face. It was something....... She couldn’t find any word to describe that emotion on his face but it was a powerful one. He was not looking at her; rather his eyes were lost somewhere as if he was in deep thought. ‘What is happening to you Zain?? Are you in trouble?? Is something bothering you?? Tell me and I will do anything for you. Anything.’ She opened her mouth to say these sentences to comfort him; just then he started walking toward their bedroom window carrying her very close to his body. She rested her hand on his heart unknowingly for what she regretted later. The slow movement of his chest due to his heavy breathing along with his masculine cologne what he was wearing was clouding her focus. She dragged her eyes literally from him just when her mouth went dry. She was grateful that he didn’t notice her gasp. He stopped near the window and looked at her for the first time after he picked her up. His eyes were vulnerable and oozing with some unspeakable emotions which she was very much eager to explore. She kept her hand on his cheek and gestured him to calm down. Her anger and frustration for his late arrival was long gone. The moonlight was reflected from the swimming pool straight into their room. That bluish angelic light made her look even more beautiful. He avoided looking at her because he knew the moment he let his eyes fall on her utterly gorgeous feature, he wouldn’t be able to do the talking. But then she came with her beautifully wide hazel eyes with an assuring smile on her perfectly curved lips to make sure that he was feeling well. Her warm hand touched his cheek and that one electrifying contact made him to close his eyes. ‘Oh I missed this!!’ He wanted to feel every fiber of her palm, every sensation of her touch and every possible way to live this moment fully. She was looking at him with questioning eyes, though her love and concern was still evident there. He opened his mouth for the first time in that evening. ‘Malleka-e-Zain, as we are together now; I will share everything with you. In case of my dressing table, the left side is yours and the right is mine, the reading table is yours as I don’t read (he chuckled) and we will drink coffee every evening sitting on this couch after I come back from office. We will talk about our days when this beautiful moonlight will fall upon us through this window. We………….’ He couldn’t complete as his voice got thick due to the lamb in his throat. His eyes were struggling to hold those tears but the change in her facial expression told him that she already saw it. She gestured him to put her down and he obeyed. She cupped his face and planted a soft loving kiss on his forehead. ‘Why don’t you let me talk and clear my conscience, Aaliya?? Why do you have to be understanding like this??’ He thought while his tears stained his cheeks. She led him to the couch and made him sit. Then she threw herself on his lap and caged him in between her arms. They rested their foreheads on each other’s and breathed heavily to settle down their emotions a bit. Then he heard her soft musical voice… ‘Zain, look at me. I know last time when you promised me all these, you didn’t mean it. It was a prank to give me a heart break. Your words destroyed my marital dreams. But that happened in the past. Both of us have changed. We LOVE each other. We went through hell to be together. We are here….in this room as husband and wife again. Look at the way I look at you, feel those emotions that you have for me in your heart. Why are you still upset that you hurt me once?? I know that you meant those promises this time. She kissed away his tears from his cheeks. But it startled her when he held her head in his firm grip and gave her a stern look. ‘Malleka-e-Zain, you were so happy and content in your life until you met me. I was so excited about tonight but the moment I mentally revised our journey till now, I realized that all those bruises you have in your heart now, those were given by ME. I have given you pain more than happiness. From the day you got married to me till now. You had to suffer so much for my mistakes.’ She shelled his hand with her hand on her cheek. ‘Oh God, how can I comfort this beautiful man now??’ She thought while he kept staring at her for an answer which could give him some peace. She stood up from his lap and sat beside him taking his hands. She had that mind blowing smile on her gorgeous face which was threatening to mess up with his head. He struggled to be sane, at least for that moment which was gravely important for him. She rubbed her soft thumb on his rough jaw line and whispered in his ear- ‘I have forgiven you, Mr. Abdullah!!! Your beautiful redemption didn’t let me to hold my anger for so long. You know that na??’ She planted a kiss on his earlobe which drove him crazy. He grabbed the side of their couch with his hands to restrain them from doing something for which he couldn’t finish this conversation. He took a deep breath and answered her- ‘You forgave me for divorcing you. But I didn’t get a chance to say you sorry for what you had to go through in the name of halala.’ Even the mention of that ritual made his eyes go red in anger and pain. His jaw went hard and he turned away from her. ‘Oh, my sweet heart!! Don’t hold yourself responsible for that. I am back now. I am your wife and till death do us apart this time.’ She thought while he was having a silent battle inside his chest. She held his neck to make him face her again and her heart melted how desperately he arched back to give her hand more access to his neck. Watching him reacting like this, her vocal cord refused to console him anymore. He needed some assurance that he is the most amazing husband she could ever get; not vocally but by some other means. Her body shivered even thinking about that but she couldn’t deny that she desired it too….for so long. She managed to say- ‘Well, I guess I have to prove you that I have no grudge against you, definitely not for halala.’ He understood her indirect statement. His gaze flicked to her eyes and with his typical amazing smile he whispered- ‘I may never be able to return you those lost times which was destroyed by my mistakes, but I swear I will die than give you any more pain…EVER!!’ She felt a hot stream of blood rushed to her cheeks when his eyes got settled intently on her lips. After 2 hours when they became sane again, he heard her chuckle. He stared at her wondering what made her laugh. She understood the question in his eyes and answered- ‘You are clever, you know that?? You talked about giving me the right side of dressing table but never talked about this bed. Because you knew that choosing side in bed would be useless. We will be all over it. Right??’ He smiled and settled his head on their pillow properly so that she could be comfortable keeping her head on his chest. Then he answered- ‘It was unintentional when I missed mentioning this bed in my promise. But now it seems so realistic. I am wondering how am I going to spend my nights without you from now?? What about my business trips in abroad?? After tonight, I want to ravage you every night.’ That made her blush like hell. She hit his chest playfully and said- ‘that’s not possible. I won’t let you do that.’ He loved this challenge and told her with a smirk before they went for their third round- ‘Well then I have to seduce you.’ Then that beautiful night witnessed their reunion once again.
