The film Easter Parade popped up on my telly last Sunday featuring song-happy step-monger Fred Astaire. Im not too familiar with his films as I was born at a disproportionate time chronologically, but watching this opening sequence, (all shot and recorded live) makes me think that there has never been a better all-round entertainer since.
