The finished works of Christ manifest in our lives when we learn to be led by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is our personal guide and our unseen partner in life. His purpose is to guide us into God’s specific plans and purposes for our lives. A. “Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths” (Proverbs 3:5, 6, AMP). 1. When we trust the Lord with our hearts, we trust Him with our spirits. a. The “heart” in the scripture above is not referring to a physical heart but a spiritual heart. The heart is the core of us—it’s the hidden, spirit man. b.The spirit man agrees with and believes the Word. c.When we believe with our spirits, our belief surpasses what we see in the natural, physical world. d.Instead, we believe the Word, which is spiritual reality.
