The fire that burns in God’s love is compassion Mark 1:40-42 Now a leper came to Him, imploring Him, kneeling down to Him and saying to Him, “If You are willing, You can make me clean.” Then Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, “I am willing; be cleansed.” As soon as He had spoken, immediately the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed. When Jesus died on the Cross of Calvary he said, “Father forgive them for they do not know what they do.” In other words as the scripture says he became poor so that we may be rich for he himself he is the glory of God full of grace and truth. He came on earth because everything was in chaos and bound to doom and because his Father loved us so much as we are made in his image and likeness he became a sacrificial Lamb of God who took away the sin of the world. Hence he said, “Come to me you who are weary and heavy laden and I shall give you rest.” Like the man mentioned in today’s scripture he had one of the most deadliest illnesses know to man called leprosy and according to ancient Jewish customs a leper and a person who is suffering from the issue of blood must not be in public and should that person be found in public he or she must be stoned. Yet because Jesus is the God of all mankind, when this man as rejected, filth and disgusting he was to the human eye God Almighty by his love he healed that man regardless of all social laws of that time for he is a compassionate God and whoever comes to him by faith and a contrite heart like the man mentioned in today’s scripture, Jesus will never turn away. Maybe the world has rejected you and all seem like have abandon you, do not despair for there is a Mighty God named Jesus who loves you as you are and those who hope in him will never be disappointed. All he is saying today is this he is a compassionate God who even gave his life so that you may have the fullness of him which is life in abundance here on earth and life eternal in the afterlife for he is light and in him there is no darkness and his plans about you are to prosper you but not to harm you. Come as you are to him, with your sins, mistakes, faults, bad habits, hurts and pains and he will make you as white as snow and you shall be blessed so that you may bless others with the message of his love, mercy and grace so that others may receive the same healing as you that from this great physician Jehovah Rapha (The God who heals). For he deeply cares about this dying world and like the case of this leper mentioned in today’s scripture he is willing to heal all who come to him and most of all give us rest as he is the Lord of Sabbath which means rest. If only I could explain the depth, height and measure of his love towards you, your head would explode but you must come to him with every situation you are undergoing whether big or small because he cares for you for Peter said cast all your cares upon him because he cares for you and whomever the Son sets free is free indeed. He who has ears let him hear says the Spirit of the Most Highest God.
