The fires are blazing again. We need to recognise the extraordinary achievements and life-saving efforts of our fire-fighters and volunteers putting their lives on the line for us and our environment. And it doesnt stop when the fire is out - there will be teams up on that mountain for several days afterwards monitoring for flareups .We can all do something practical to help, the drop off point for water, drinks and finger food for fire-fighters is the Civic Centre in Fish Hoek. Please note that the fire station is taking refreshments if donated. These volunteers sacrifice their time and holidays all year round to keep us safe. When there are no fires they are training for them. They rely on donations from the public and businesses to meet their running costs.
