The first Project to be rolled out after the installation is one such to educate as well as create an awareness on the Science Learning capabilities of visually challenged students. And, take this to those underpreviledged but the deserving students from all parts of Tamilnadu assembled before a fellow student, who has proven skills and shown the light to his other visually challenged friends in India. The fellow student, is none other than Mr. Karthik Sawhney, a person who gets into his next stage of college education from 12th standard. He is one of the few who got the opportunity to learn Physics, Chemistry and Computer Science in his Higher Secondary course. And, he had best used the opportunity to not only excel by himself but also to enlighten his other visually challenged friends now. His 95% pass percentage, in the stream considered challenging by many i.e. Science with Computer Science, Kartik is all set to attend Stanford University, United States of America to study the Bachelors in computer science. IIT by rejecting his application on Joint Entrance Guidelines grounds would be the loser here.
