The first inhabitants of East Quogue Schools Living Bay Aquarium - TopicsExpress

The first inhabitants of East Quogue Schools Living Bay Aquarium moved into the tank environment today. All of the new specimens were gathered during the sixth grade excursion to the Ponquogue Bridge Estuary two weeks ago. They have been living in a rescue tank in our science lab. This unique educational experience for the students will continue to grow and develop over the course of time. The creatures seemed happy to move into their new home. We thank Kevin and Lynn Crowe once again for their unbelievable generosity. Special thanks to Matt Parsons for designing and creating the tank. Further information and updates will continue as we add new specimens, make scientific observations and enjoy our new ecosystem as it comes to life. The new specimens added today included Striped Killies, an Asian Shore Crab and a Mud Crab. Mr. Parsons also planted eel grass to support the ecosystem.
