The first of nearly 15,000 federal lawsuits facing mesh manufacturer Boston Scientific (BCS) began Monday, November 3, 2014, in federal court in Miami, Florida. This case is also the first of the thousands of cases consolidated cases against seven manufacturers to have more than one plaintiffs’ case heard at a time. Here, four women implanted with the Boston Scientific Pinnacle Pelvic Mesh Kit will have their cases heard by the Miami jury. Joseph A. Osborne, Esq., of Babbitt Johnson Osborne & LeClainche is part of a trial team that represents the four women who have all suffered mesh complications from the Boston Scientific Pinnacle mesh device. Federal cases against Boston Scientific and six other companies have been consolidated before U.S. District Judge Joseph Goodwin in the Southern District of West Virginia. Joseph Osborne, who has represented plaintiffs in other mesh trials against Boston Scientific represents that his clients have been injured by the transvaginal mesh devices poorly designed, made from substandard material and can lead to injuries.
