The first phase was the people coming out in size to reflect their public will. 30th August has channeled the energy into a singular productive and concerted effort to filter the key message of Egyptians (across the rainbow of the population) to one key concept: We The People Decide Our Own Government, We The People Choose Our Representatives, We The People Will Never Give Up On Our Freedoms. For a reminder of why we Egyptians took to the street 30th August 2013: * To show public resentment against the 3rd July Coup * To show protests are getting larger and larger in numbers (With estimation so far that 30th August being the largest day protest since the 25th Jan Revolution ignited the freedom marches) * To replace local media (whether state or private owned) through mass public participation, we the people are media * To show the public who have not yet participated in the marches that they are peaceful, and they are there to represent them and their rights * To show that fear, repression will do nothing but ignite further public support and participation in mass public movements * To show the protests are lead by the people themselves and not any one leader or group * To show that the Egyptian people will not allow anyone to speak on their behalf without their approval * To show that Egypt is in a new Era, where propaganda, intimidation, manipulation will not work with such an aware population (regardless of education level or wealth) * To show that this is only the beginning and that we the people will not lose patience, will not lose persistence, will continue to increase our efforts for HOW EVER LONG IT takes till we achieve our goals. ONE Egypt ONE People One Nation FREE and DEMOCRATIC.
