The first race we will cover today are those native to the Province of Skyrim. Skyrim is home to a hearty honorable race of warriors known as Nords. Originally descended from the children of Atmora, Ysgramor and his kin sailed to tamriel to escape a civil war that ravaged their homelands. There landing point was, skyrim. Upon arrival they came across a race of elves, the falmer otherwise known as snow elves. At first relationships were peaceful. But the atmorans bred to fast for the Falmer, whos immortal lifespans cause only a few to be born at a time. They attempted a mass genocide of the atmorans, killing off all but a few they left back to atmora, ysgramor loseing both his sons in the battle. Once they returned to atmora they saw that the civil war was over, telling them the horrors of the Falmer he grather a 500 man strong army and sailed for skyrim once again. These once future nords were hell bent on creating a home for themselves, And their honor gave them no other choice but succeed or death. And succeed they did, The atmoran Prowess in Battle was unmatched, Eventually causing the Falmer to run and hide with their cousins the dwemer. But this option proved near fatal to the falmer. But that is a story for another time. The Now Nords were finally creating a home for themselves. In the Year 1E 113, King Harald, of the Ysgramor dynasty, was the first man to unify Skyrim, and in 1E 143 the last of the elves were driven out of the province. After the 108-year rein of King Harald, a Moot was created to establish the next High King from the royal family. In 1E 240, King Haralds son, King Vrage the Gifted, started the Skyrim Conquests. He carved out the First Empire of the Nords and by 1E 290 ruled all the northern regions of Tamriel. These regions included Morrowind, most of High Rock, and some northern reaches of Cyrodiil. The capital of the Empire was Windhelm, a city built by Ysgramor after the his conquest of the elves. This Prosperity was however short lived. For after the rein of King Borgas in 1E 369 who was killed dureing a hunt the first empire was in its decline. Since there was no heir to the throne, the ineffective moot was unable to name a new HighKing, thus beginning the war of succession. The Nordic empire lost all lands beyond skyrim, and were never able to regain these again. The War of Succession ended in 1E 420 with the Pact of Chieftains, which stated that a Moot would only be held when the High King died with no living heirs. After this, Skyrims successions have never again been disputed on the battlefield.[6] In the Late First Era, there was an invasion from Akavir. These men, who came from the North, were the Akavir Dragonguard, from whom the Blades claim origin. The Nords, the warriors they were, were the first to challenge these invaders. The Nords were defeated and the Dragonguard carved a path through Skyrim. The Nords joined Reman Cyrodiil at the Battle of Pale Pass. Accounts on the battle vary, but was ultimately a victory secured against the Akavir, who swore loyalty to Reman Cyrodiil Dureing the second Era, it was because of the feats of Tiber Septim that the nords joined the newly formed cyrodill empire. But that was short lived as they are now locked in a Civil war. Will the nords once again fight for their honor and the home they have fought so hard for. We shall see.
