The first session of our PJ Library Books, Bits and Bites will be Suunday morning October 19th at 10:30 a.m. Hear stories from the PJ Library collection and enjoy breakfast bites and make wonderful crafts. Join us in the Panel Room Tuesday evenings, beginning this Tuesday, October 21 through November 25 at 8:30 p.m. as Rabbi Ginsburg introduces us to the world of Amos Oz, Israel’s best known author. The main text for the course is Where The Jackals Howl. The series is free and open to the public. See the flyer on the credenza for further information. Please join us next Shabbat, October 25 as we honor those who help us maintain our daily Shacharit and Maariv Minyanim. In addition, next Saturday is Birthday Shabbat. All children under Bar/Bat Mitzvah age who celebrate October birthdays will be invited to the Bimah to receive special birthday wishes and a traditional blessing from Rabbi Ginsburg. Also, please join us at our Family Shabbat next Saturday as we to honor our Students of the Month, Isaac Ricotta and Aiden Warshavsky. At 11:00 a.m. that morning our first Tot Shabbat will take place in Room 4 of the Morgenstern School. Come and celebrate Shabbat with play, stories and songs. This program is geared towards children ages birth – 5 years of age. The Building Committee is pleased to invite you to participate again in the storage of the Shul’s Sukkah, Sunday morning October 26th at 8:00 a.m., with a rain date of Sunday, November 2nd. Completion time is expected to be no later than 1:00 p.m. Community service will be awarded to all participating teens. We look forward to seeing you there. Pa’am B’Chodesh programs are back! The first program of 5775 will be on Sunday, October 26 at 9:30 a.m. This program is the first of a series on the Jewish home. Spend the morning learning Jewish traditions. You can make your own Mezuzah and experience a hands-on program. You will have the opportunity to buy a kosher parchment and fulfill the mitzvah of Mezuzah. It’s never too late to join Sisterhood. We have many programs planned for this year, so don’t miss out on the opportunity to participate. Dues are $36.00 for the year. You may mail your dues to the synagogue office. Woodmere Sisterhood’s next book club meeting will be held on Monday, October 27 at 8:15 p.m. at the home of Phyllis Brenner. The book to be discussed is the Pulitzer prize-winning novel, The Goldfinch, by Donna Tartt. The discussion will be moderated by Kate Kreiss. Please RSVP to the synagogue office.
