The first woman in history to make the cut in a regular PGA Tour event was born on this day 1911 (She would have been 103 today). She was inducted into the Hall of Fame of Womens Golf in 1951. In 1957, she posthumously received the Bob Jones Award, the highest honor given by the United States Golf Association in recognition of distinguished sportsmanship in golf.
