The firsts are so hard. Firsts of anything really. First time a baby rolls over, eats solid food, walks, gets a tooth, a shot, goes to school and on and on but yesterday was the First anniversary of when we watched them lower a casket into the ground. I wrote a poem when I was in high school (yeah, i carved it in stone thats how old i am lol) called My Velvet Bed. A few lines were they through dirt upon my pretty bed and laid me in the ground. The poem was referring to a casket and how beautiful they really are yet just arnt really appreciated. (I was a pretty warped teenager lol ) Anyway, Randy and I went over there Monday to Poplar Log Cemetary and saw the beautiful flowers and momentos that had been left. As I was standing, looking at her stone Randy burst out laughing. He was so tickled he couldnt speak. I was VERY puzzled because we were standing at our childs grave and there he was laughing. Finally he said he could hear in his head Tessas voice saying OH MY GOSH-she is standing on ME!! Can u believe she is standing on me!!......and if yall knew Tessa, U know this would happen!!-- dont forget her folks. just dont forget her.........
