The fish belong to the state you dumby! You cant fish without state permission! How do politics affect me? Why should I be a conservative? Liberals care more! Do they? Really? Modern liberalism is nothing more than traditional authoritarianism and centralized government and government ownership - statism in essence. People have a religious devotion to statism, having been raised to think that the law is what defines society. Being through Marxist or Theocratic avenues doesnt matter when it comes down to it - being lorded over by Old Europe Catholics vs 19th century Marxists (socialists, communists, Nazis, etc) doesnt make much difference to the oppressed. If the land he was fishing on belonged to another person, then theres legal reason for him not to be fishing there. If it did not, then government has no business with him.
