The flash flood warning for the BVI has been downgraded to a flash flood watch. The watch, issued by the Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Service will remain in effect until 6:00 p.m. Residents are cautioned to guard against the rapid build-up of water. A deep low pressure system over the Eastern Caribbean will continue to cause unstable atmospheric conditions today. The system is expected to begin weakening later today or tonight and drift to the northwest. Todays weather is expected to be cloudy with scattered showers, some of which could be moderate or heavy at times. There is also a chance for isolated thunderstorms. Tonights weather will be cloudy occasionally with scattered showers. Winds are East northeasterly and Easterly at 10 - 14 knots. Lighter spells can be expected tonight. Seas are moderate with waves of 4 - 6 feet. Small craft operators should exercise caution. Barometric Pressure is below normal. Sunset today will be at 6:43 p.m. Sunrise tomorrow at 5:46 a.m.
