The fog was really horrible today. Roland got up to go drive to work early this morning and was involved in a near head-on collision. They had to use jaws of life to extract him. He was taken to JPS hospital trauma ER where he has remained all day. He shattered part of pelvis by hip joint which dislocated hip. Also has broken knee. They stabilized him and he has been waiting for room in ICU floor 3. Wont know anymore about injuries until they get him to floor. Will have surgery on hip at least by Monday. Until then we are trying to be patient with the process. Thank you for all the texts and all the prayers! We have heard from friends, family, and church family. God prepared the way by having off duty medic right there to care for him at the scene and a friend close enough to get to him rather quickly. He also was driving my truck which had extended cab allowing room for him to be pushed into extra space by force of collision. His truck doesnt have that and he was told he would not have survived in that vehicle. The other driver in second vehicle seems to be just fine. So we are thanking God for his life. it will be a road to recovery so your continued prayers still needed and are muchly appreciated. Hugs to all.
