The following information was sent home yesterday with the students. I will pass on more information as I have it. 2013 UT Band Day with Greeneville & Siegel HS FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 27 6:30 CT for Friday’s game LOAD EQUIPMENT TRUCK AFTER GAME SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 28 4:45AM Chair time 5:00AM Buses leave 6:30AM Get to UT, unload 7:00 AM Pride Rehearsal – Pregame 7:30 Rehearse with Greeneville & Siegel HS Bands 9:00 Rehearsal Ends Change Into Uniforms (On your buses) QUICKLY Eat Meals Restrooms Available in HPER Building Buses and Equipment trucks will be moved down near the stadium 10:00 Line up at buses to head to lineup for the march 10:20 Line Up For March To The Stadium 10:40 March To The Stadium (Parade) Parade Order: Greeneville HS Siegel HS Pride of the Southland Proceed (non-stop) to Neyland Stadium. GATE 21A. 12:21PM Kickoff Approx 4:30pm Game ends Approx. 5:30pm load to leave UT Approx 6:00-6:30pm Stop at Strawberry plains to eat before going home Approx. 9:00PM Arrive back at GHS Our UT Band Guide: Greeneville – Liz Zeller Other Information: • Everyone must park in the back gravel lot when you get here on Sat. morning. There is a show in the NPAC that night and all parking in the front must remain open. • Make sure you have the following when you leave: Flip folder, Lyre, music, UT drill chart, uniform (all parts: jacket, pants, garment bag, hanger, hat, gloves, black socks), instrument/equipment. • Guard and Majorettes must be in full hair and full makeup by the time we get to UT. You may NOT get off the bus without full hair and makeup. • UT band is rehearsing in full uniform that morning. We will make the decision whether we are marching in full uniform or not later in the week. I will keep you updated. • I would NOT bring anything to leave on the bus. The buses will NOT be locked. Anything you bring must be left on the buses and we are NOT responsible for anything that may be lost or stolen. • Band members may not take anything in to the stadium except their Flip folder, lyre, and instrument/equipment. Cell phones may be kept in your uniform pocket, but may NOT be taken out when in the stadium. Staff are not allowed anything other than what may fit in their pockets. • Lunch will be provided for the students between 9am and 10am. You must eat quickly!!! • There will be a holding room in the HPER building where we can eat and relax between 9 and 10am. Bathrooms will be available here as well. • We will stop in Strawberry plains to grab a fast food dinner on the way home. You will need money. • Only staff members that are marching with the band will be allowed to go in to the stadium with the band. Everyone else – chaperones, administrators, etc. – will get their tickets on Saturday morning once we get to UT. You will be sitting with us in section H, but you have to go in and find your seat – you will not be able to go in with the band. • No video cameras are allowed in the stadium You can use cell phones to video – that is all We are currently working on getting a videographer to come with us to video. UT Band will also be videoing the performance and we will be able to get a recording from them. • The game will be broadcasted on ESPN 3, and the East Tennessee Sports Network. You can also listen on 107.7FM. More to come as I know. They did say there will be a local channel broadcasting, but we don’t know which one yet. • Handicapped people can try parking by the Ag Campus but it is first come first serve. There’s a shuttle that runs from that lot to the stadium for handicapped fans
