The following short poem was written by the daughter of my client, Amy Slater. Her name is Jordan. I found this to be remarkably moving. And profound. And important. Jordan is 9. NINE years old! Imagine a world filled with forgiveness.... Forgive Not Forget Before I forgive, I feel like I am swimming in a pool of sharks. When I forgive, I feel like I am swimming in a pool of happiness that sparkles every time you stroke. Love is a feeling that makes me feel like golden doors just opened into my heart. Forgiveness lives in a sparkly golden cave with jewels. Every time I forgive, I feel like one problem just melted away. Imagine a world filled with forgiveness; it would make the world brighter. Forgiveness is a smile from the heart that gets given to others.
