The following two amendments passed in the House yesterday and were initially proposed by me during my term. I would like to recognize Rep. Richmond for his assistance in getting the Modified Charleston Method prohibition done. Rep. Meadows (R-NC) - Prohibits funds from being used for the salaries of Presidential Recess Appointees until they are confirmed by the Senate. Rep. Scalise (R-LA) and Rep. Richmond (D-LA)- Prohibits funds from being used by the Army Corps of Engineers within the borders of the State of Louisiana to implement or enforce the mitigation methodology referred to as the "Modified Charleston Method".
