The former U-23 assistant coach Musa Abdullahi died at his country home Koton-Karfe, Kogi State yesterday around 3pm after a long battle with stroke, and was been buried according to Muslim rite around 4pm at Koton-Karfe burial ground after Janaiza (prayer). He left behind his wife Hajiya Bilikisu Musa nd four children. Musa Abdullahi was apointed as a deputy Director at the Sport Council in Kogi State when the State was created in 1991 after moving to his country home from Kwara State. Musa Abdullahi led the Golden Eaglet to win silver medals in the U-17 FIFA footbal tournament in Trinidad and Tobago in 2001. He was the head coach when Nigeria won the silver medal at the All Africa Games at Abuja 2003. The Kogi State-born administrator was the assistant coach to coach Bonfre Jo when the dream team 1 won the Gold medal at the Olympic Games in Atlanta in 1996. He was also assistant coach to Fanny Amun when the Golden Eaglets won Gold at the FIFA/KODAL U-17 Wold Cup in Japan 93. He has coach National Teams.
