The foundations were 1m deep, built of large rounded stones set in puddled clay; one course of roughly dressed stones of the wall proper survived, 0.7m wide, well set in a whitish mortar. The interior was covered by by a floor or platform 0.3. thick on average, made of broken stone and mortar with a levelled surface of this floor, if indeed they had ever been built any higher; there was little sign of stone or mortar debris in the soil above, and there was no occupational accumulation inside or outside the building.
