The four chords are Dm9 / G7 alt / Cmaj7 / A7 alt You can use the notes of Cmaj / Ab melodic minor / Cmaj / Bb melodic minor, and play slowly and learn a basic sound. One can substitute this stuff till the cows come home and play all the fancy stuff but please try and get the basic sounds down. The point is not get caught up with random jargon that puts you off. And when you get tired just play the blues in C and when the altered chords happen just wiggle your fingers till you find those sounds. Dm9 = x5355x , G7 alt= 3x3446 , Cmaj 7= x32233, A7 alt = 5x5668. I have played the same motif through out so please transcribe and get this :)
