The friendzone is a fictional idea in the way it is identified. Either she/he finds you attractive or she/he doesnt. It doesnt have to be in the physical sense alone either. It can be on an emotional level, that youre just not offering what they what and/or need in life. The only reason the person says Lets just be friends is to soften the blow of rejection. I know it sucks, but if the person isnt interested then they arent interested, and no amount of niceness is going to change that.
