The full Document for the Scavenger Hunt Firefighter Danka had to do today to retrieve all the parts of his helmet: So, you’re now a NJ State Certified Firefighter…… I guess you want your black helmet. Well, I have placed one on your rack. It’s an older one used and has things on it from other firefighters. I’m guessing you want one of your own. Here is what you need to do to get it. Let the scavenger hunt begin! I have placed the parts of your helmet at several local businesses. The trick is that you need to figure out which ones have them. Rules: 1. I will post a clue as to the location for each part of your helmet on this status. From that clue you will figure out where the part is. When you have figured out the location you will announce it on this status. I will confirm if you are right. You will go to that location and ask for /find the part. You will announce what part you found on here. Once I have seen it, I will post the next clue. This will continue till you have found all the parts to your helmet. 2. You will figure out the clues on your own, they will not be hard. 3. You may ask for help from people looking at this status; however I am ASKING EVERYONE TO REFRAIN FROM HELPING YOU, till you ask for help. 4. You will not randomly go around the town asking businesses if they are participating. 5. You will proceed to and from each location in a safe and legal manor. There is no need for you to risk your life or the lives of others. 6. Once you have assembled all the parts, you will announce it on this status. I will meet you at the Station and monitor your rebuilding of the helmet. Once complete it will be yours! 7. You WILL have fun with this exercise! Do you still Accept? First Clue: As a firefighter you will need to be able to carry lots of equipment over far distances. This equipment includes a Radio, the irons, flashlights, hooks, and extrication equipment. You will need to learn and adapt to several different types of structures. The types include but are not limited to mc mansions, commercial buildings, ranchers, Shacks, and many others. You are strong enough to handle this right????? Find the business in this clue, go to the front desk, and ask for an envelope addressed to you. GOOD LUCK! Second Clue: As you Advance in your fire service career. You will realize it’s not just about the burning building. There are several other hazards we need to deal with. Chemicals, Gases, and Alarms to name a few. But the most under estimated hazard is Autos and their Parts. You need to make sure you can adapt and overcome the changing dynamics in automobiles. Magnesium walls in cars, Air Bag Technology, & New Fuels to name a few. Find the business in this clue, go to the front desk, and ask for an envelope addressed to you. GOOD LUCK! Third Clue: Let’s go back to the basics. In the fire service, you need to make sure you stay on top of advances in building construction. You will need to know building codes and construction. The material used and how it is put together. This business has lots of construction equipment and they rent several machines to help you do different things in and around the house. So, get your hammer and nails out. Get a key and a clue. Go to this business where the merchandise is a good value and they are true to their name! Find the business in this clue, go to the front desk, and ask for an envelope addressed to you. GOOD LUCK! Fourth Clue: We may be here, we may be there. We are very busy and sometimes not. Some people call us campers, some call us wannabe GODs. When you get to the next MAJOR class in your fire service career, you will not want to do it, but it will be needed. After you have passed and when we are on the street remember it’s: Me In Charge of U! Find the business, go to the attached shed in the back of the building, your clue will be attached to the door. Fifth Clue: You’re getting through this very quickly. This one might be tricky. I sell items that are found in your home. I sell items found as you roam. If you need to ship your sister to Abu Dabi I might be able to help. If you need to finally move out of your parents house, I can rent you a truck.
