The fundamental expectations of technology have changed, as has the way IT’s success is measured. Edge applications, cloud, mobility, big data and social media have changed that. Technology is less expensive, more powerful and easier to deploy than it’s even been, and, if it doesn’t produce the results you need, you replace it. They key word here is “results.” It’s not about deploying a new SaaS-based CRM, it’s about shortening the sales cycle. It’s not about investing in social monitoring tools, it’s about better understanding your prospects and customers.
