The furloughed federal civil servants ARE NOT earning their pay during this furlough and yet they will receive back pay when all the smoke has cleared. We Veterans have already earned this pay that they are defaulting on and yet no mention is being made about what they plan to do, either pay us or pay us after the shutdown horse crap is resolved. We need to get ALL the various Veterans groups together to apply pressure to the government about this issue. Further, has any mention at all been made about what they plan to do about Social Security and Social Security Disability benefits? Those are the ones we paid in to, as opposed to SSI which is free money for those who cannot work. Rather convenient that the people whose job it is to answer our questions are not working and yet they will get paid but we will not.
