The future 70th week of Daniel, a seven year period, will begin with a covenant of peace between Israel and surrounding Muslim nations (Dan. 9:24-27; 7:20-25). The Little Horn (Antichrist) will be the world leader who confirms (brokers) this agreement. This will initiate the beginning of sorrows (wars, famines, earthquakes, pestilences) worldwide. (Mat. 24:4-8) The unsaved will tremble in fear as their world begins to crumble. At the same time, Jesus encourages believers not to be troubled (Mat. 24:6). I emphasize again, the body of Christ shouldnt be praying against these events from happening. Instead we should be praying to overcome (Rev. 2:7, 11, 17, 26; 3:5, 12, 21; 12:11; 21:7). Those who overcome, Jesus promises to write on him the name of God and the New Jerusalem (Rev. 3:12). This is sobering. Obeying the Holy Spirit during the beginning of sorrows will be essential preparation for overcoming the Beast and his mark during the days of the Great Tribulation (Mat. 24:8; 21-22). Jesus says there will be pestilences in various places. The rise of deadly viruses and plagues in several countries this past year is terrifying. The casualties from earthquakes from China to Peru are equally heartbreaking. Even so, these events wont compare to the wars, famines, pestilences, and earthquakes that will come after the 70th week of Daniel begins.
