The girl slapped the guy n stepped out of the car... visibly upset. The guy just kept looking down. Though he saw that I saw. I wondered if that added to his embarrassment. At the signal, my rickshaw being right next to the car, I was a witness to all the action inside. The girl had barely taken a few steps when two guys on a bike made a cut across her, hitting her lightly, n scared she fell down. The way she was holding her left knee, she seemed to have been hurt bad. The guy dashed out of the car and in a second picked her up in his arms , and all like a hero, carried her back to the car. But before he drove away , he went back to the bike, caught hold of the guy at the handles, n slapped him very hard twice...without screaming or saying a word. And then he looked at me, I smiled lightly. I had a feeling he was going to get slapped again in the car ...the girl would blame him for the fall n the wounded knee.
