Don’t criticize Obamacare w/o offering something better!!!! conference-board.org/data/bcicountry.cfm?cid=1 bea.gov/newsreleases/glance.htm businessinsider/how-many-people-signed-up-for-obamacare-2014-5 SINCE THE IMPLEMENTATION OF OBAMACARE: • The unemployment rate is lower than it has been since before the Great Recession. • The GDP continues to grow. • The Leading Economic Indicators continue to improve. • Gas prices are down. • We are a net exporter of energy. • Despite this week’s mkt losses due largely to nervousness over the European economy, the stock mkt is gang busters. So the sky, despite the dire predictions of my conservative friends, IS NOT falling!!!! They claim it isn’t working, but approx. 8 mil. have signed up despite the horrendous roll-out & even if the govt. claims that 87% were previously uninsured is an exaggeration, the #s are pretty impressive. Personally I know a significant # of people whose insurance were denied by pvt. cos. who are now enrolled thru Obamacare & others who could never afford ins, who have ins. now. IF YOU CARE ABOUT THE SANCTITY OF LIFE THAT IS NOTHING TO SNEEZE AT!!!! So it isn’t perfect. There is a great deal to improve. But the claim that it is a disaster is JUST PLAIN WRONG!!!!
