The goal of todays posts is to try to show people how far a bird can progress once some trust is shared. All of the birds in todays posts came from breeding and/or hoarding situations and could not be handled for at least 2 months. We cant help every bird from these cases, but these make the extra work more than worth it. We operate in a flock fashion, which makes medical and behavioral issues easier to overcome, it aids in diet conversion, and it shortens the time it takes for them to learn and retain new ways to play and interact with both birds and humans. We did not start out this way, but after seeing the benefits with difficult birds, it has been a blessing in disguise. Frankie was one of the Sharpsburg birds that had been set up to breed, so he had no desire He gets closer and closer every day!
