The good old days... where parents were irresponsible and kids were on daily suicide attempt missions. The times I have almost blown myself up with pipe bombs, dynamite, fertilizer explosives... having climbed up mountain rock faces and nearly got stuck (age 8-9), only getting to safety after taking a leap for my life that probably had 80/20 chances for making it (20 in favor). Chemical coctails that were extremely corrosive, some ending up as explosives... being made when I was 10-11 years old. No, there were no safetynets, nagging parents or video surveillance everywhere back then. In my opinion, we OWE it to our kids to have an equally feature rich life to live, with the SAME level of freedom and responsibility. We need to fight the ever increasing nannystates we contribute to creating, and fight those who think it is the only way forward. We need to go BACK in order to go FORWARD.
