The government in Venezuela with Chavez and now Chavez Jr. (Nicolas Maduro) is the worst tragedy that could have ever happened to this wonderful country. Chavez was a sick man, mentally, psychologically, emotionally and at the end of his life, physically. Chavez Jr. is following his steps. Some progressives in the US (Oliver Stone, Sean Penn, and many of my FB friends) believe that just because Chavez spoke freely against the US, and he claimed he was a socialist (he wasnt, he was an oligarch just as any one with economic and political power), he was a great leader. He wasnt. He was mad. Really, he was insane. I always knew it. And guess what, the Chavista government is financially supported by the US. The US is the main client that pays cash Venezuelan oil. Did you notice that Chavez y Maduro never talked about stopping the supply of Venezuelan oil to the US? If they really wanted to fight against the Yankee Imperialism, that was their greatest weapon. They didnt do it because if they had, their days were counted. As the US gets Venezuelan oil without any problem, the US doesnt care what is happening in Venezuela.
