The governor on Tuesday said he will ask a judge to order a strike - TopicsExpress

The governor on Tuesday said he will ask a judge to order a strike delay after an advisory board found that a strike by Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District bus drivers would seriously disrupt public transportation and harm public safety. First this is not Obama saying this, this is another democrat saying this. And I would be surprised if he faces any significant opposition from other democrats. My first question, is he really concerned about harming public safety? When less than 2 years ago did this: California Governor Jerry Brown has vetoed two bills that worker advocates promoted. The Humane Treatment for Farm Workers Act, AB 2676, required that farmworkers’ supervisors ensure the workers have continuous access to shade and enough cool water to drink one quart per hour during each shift; failing to provide water or shade under high heat conditions would be a misdemeanor punishable by fines or jail time. And is he really the friend of unions and or labor when he did this Gov. Jerry Brown, whose signature more than three decades ago gave agricultural workers the right to unionize by secret ballot, vetoed a bill Tuesday that would have made it easier for farm laborers to organize.
