The grave worshipers are the real enemies of the Awliyaa of Allaah: The grave worshipers, when they are cornered, the only way out for them is to accuse you of not loving the Awliyaa, enemies of the Awliyaa, etc. etc. For them the Awliyaas are Jeelaanee, Teejaanee, Desoukee… or anyone who follows their Sufeeish Tareeqah. *What they forget is that the best Awliyaa of Allaah are the Prophets and Messengers, for they enjoy the highest position with Allaah. [But, among these grave worshipers, there are those who say their Awliyaa are more superior than the Prophets and Messengers – and Allaah’s refuge is sought from such foolishness.] *What they forget is that the Companions of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم are the Awliyaa of Allaah. They are second only to the Prophets and Messengers, because they Believed in the Unseen without asking for miracles, they Feared Allaah, and they also got to see the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, learn from him, participate in the battles and travels with him. Rather, Allaah تعالى revealed verses in their praise and is pleased with them and have informed the Believers, who came after them, to pray for their forgiveness. [All the Jeelaanee and Teejaanees combined cannot achieve this position which the Companions enjoyed.] *What they forget is that the Companions of other Prophets, like the Hawaaree, are the Awliyaa. *What they forget is that those who have been praised by Allaah in the Qur’aan are the Awliyaa of Allaah, like the youths mentioned in Surah al-Kahf and the person mentioned in Surah Yaaseen whom Allaah forgave and honored. *What they forget is that the Awliyaa of Allaah are all the God-fearing, sincere believers in Allaah: أَلَا إِنَّ أَوْلِيَاءَ اللَّـهِ لَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ * الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَكَانُوا يَتَّقُونَ {No doubt! Verily, the Auliyaa’ of Allaah no fear shall come upon them nor shall they grieve - those who BELIEVED (in the Oneness of Allaah - Islaamic Monotheism), and used to FEAR Allaah much (by abstaining from evil deeds and sins and by doing righteous deeds).} [Surah Yunus (10):62-63]
