The hardest part for people to get about economics is the concept of who. earns and who mooches. Somehow earners are seen as the ones with the cash at the end of the deal regardless of how they manage to do it. Lie, manipulate, steal, buy a congressman, lobby a tax break behind closed doors. They get so used to it and are so convincing to others that they too believe it. It becomes real for any practical purpose. Its not, never has been and will not be. For that illusion we Americans pay a terrible price.
