The highlight of our first day in Korah was a warm welcome, many - TopicsExpress

The highlight of our first day in Korah was a warm welcome, many hugs, kisses, enjoying an Ethiopian coffee ceremony and taking turns as we sat in a circle, sharing at least one thing that is new since the last time we were together. It took quite a while, as everyone shared both the joys and the hardships of these last few months. These courageous, strong and beautiful women never cease to amaze me. Please be praying for Fantanesh and her twin babies. As you may recall from an earlier post a few months ago, Fantanesh was living at the trash dump, was recently sponsored and is now living under much different circumstances. However, these last few weeks, her young babies have become very ill; hospitalized with measles and malnutrition. They came home a few days ago, but have not completely recovered and are still struggling, seeing the doctor again today. Please pray for their complete healing. Today before going to the hospital Fantanesh was able to take her first shower in months (likely much, much longer) at our new compound and she was able to wash her babies and put them into clean clothes. Thank you to all who have generously given to make this new compound possible… todays shower is just one small, but very significant gift you have given to Fantanesh. Could you all please join us in lifting these babies up to God, for His continued protection, healing and weight gain of these little ones.
