The history of incense smoke, like gum bezoin( Kuthirikkam ) camphor ( Karppuram ) and sambrani not only in Indian custom but lot of other countries doing this as a traditional custom. People love the fragrant the fragrant smoke when its burned. The aim is not only get rid of the mosquito’s but the fumes purify the air inside the room. That is why in that age the diseases like fever, cough, viral infections are very less. If a new born baby at home, definitely room should do smoked with gum benzoin ( kuthirikkam ) The Arabs are still smoke there house with gum benzoin and Udu, its not only for fragrance but they believe a positive energy spread over there house I personally love the smell of Gum benzoin ( Kuthirikkam ). I find it positive, uplifting, vibrant. Gum benzoin is always sprinkled on glowing red charcoal. The fumes which come out exude the aroma and it slowly spreads all across the room. The women in Kerala , in the ancient times, used to dry their wet hair in these fumes, after a bath.It would scent the hair and also prevent scalp infections. Also I smoke my all cloths with Kuthirikkam fumes, the cloth smell become is very pleasant and fresh Sometimes, I just light a Kuthirikkam , in my room and , switch on some lovely music and do absolutely nothing. My thoughts carry me to all kinds of wonderful places. I dream and the world stands still for just those few precious moments. Now we are simplifed the process of smoke the gum benzoin ( kuthirikkam ) Karppuram , sambrani We manufacturing the easy ignite coconut shell charcoal cubes, its ignite easily and stay burning in a hour Just keep the charcoal cubes 2 minutes it in the top of the gas stove or fire wood stove. It become a red hot cubes. Just place these red hot cubes in the clay pot and sprinkle the kuthirikkam or karppuram,
