The holiday season is approaching us , I for one am really looking forward to it , I wasnt at this time last year , I was in a very dark place , an awful lot has changed this year , both good and bad , through good and troubled times , Ive been thinking back to how I was at this time last year , I really and truly could not see the wood for the trees , I could see NOTHING but darkness , I cried most every day , Im not saying that my situation has changed that much , but how I approach it , has changed dramatically , how I give myself time to respond , how I slow things by 5mph , Ill get there just as fast , ..... BUT !!! The major change in my life has been the continuing use of AntiDepressants (under the supervision of my GP) Ive spoken about it before , but let me tell you a little story about the simple difference it makes to me ... Every year I make the Santa call to a number of my dear friends children , its been a source of great joy over a number of years now ... Last year I couldnt do it because I was in such a bad place especially because it really got to me about not having children of our own ... This year we are already planning said phone calls , and I am looking forward to it , jingle bells at the ready and a hohoho :-) That may all sound pathetic to some , but the point is this , ..... For me at least , the monitored use of Anti-Depressants , has given me a large portion of my life back , I am no angel , I get as much wrong as I get right , but I feel its right to speak and let people know that it has worked for me , and I hope it reaches one person and gives them the strength to speak to someone ,.... I AM NOT !! Saying that its right for everybody , what I am trying to say , is that by reaching out and talking , I have found a way to help myself , And it makes me feel good !!
