The house of commons is in turmoil about whether to go to war in Iraq, thats right they specifically called it a war. A Canadian invasion of Iraq will not be for justice and it will not represent honor it will be the opposite. Invasions are not the way to deal with problems such is ISIS because western invasions of these countries are the exact reason ISIS was born. I agree that ISIS is a problem that needs addressing but as in the Iraq invasion in 2003 a Invasion is not a way to deal with this problem. And again as in the Iraq war and invasion will only lead to more Isis support as the US invasion led to greater Taliban support, the Conservative party believes that CF-18 bombing strikes are they way to deal with this problem, however Bombing in Iraq thus far has killed far more innocents then terrorists in fact it led to nearly 30000 causalities by 2006 in the original US invasion. The way to deal with ISIS is to strategically enter the country with small well armed task forces with specific targets to effectively dismantle ISIS just as we did in the beginning of the Afghanistan war. Bombing will only make the problem worse, and remember my friends that terrorism at its root stems from a political standpoint which eventually leads to the radicalism we see in ISIS today. I believe that a full scale invasion of Iraq will at first appear successful but will eventually lead to another long drawn out war as we eventually make mistakes and harm innocents leading to opposition support.
