The house owner next to me in kingsway has rented out his 3 storey 3 bedroom townhouse to hartbury college students over the past few years which has been fine so far. He has converted the first floor lounge into a bedroom with an additional en-suite (4 bathrooms total) and uses the ground floor office as a bedroom as well effectively turning a 3 bedroom house into a five bedroom house. This has not been a problem until this week when 5 students have turned up with 5 seperate cars all going to harbury college and all looking to park directly outside the house. The estate was only designed for two number car spaces for a 3 bed house one of which is a garage the students dont even use. So now in our shared access driveway we have a massive parking problem because 5 into one space doesnt go, and cars are parking everywhere? I have already contacted the landlord. Can anything be done about this? Can I complain to the council or even planning dept as it was never designed to be a 5 bedroom house and so cannot support 5 cars.what bugs me is 5 people are all going to the same college can they not car share? Getting p+ssed off now.
