The icing on the cake of the weekend was when we thought it was - TopicsExpress

The icing on the cake of the weekend was when we thought it was over, a pillar of light rose over the horizon, modeling to our hunting photons for several minutes. The light pillar is a visual phenomenon created by the reflection of sunlight in ice crystals with parallel flat surfaces near the horizon. The light can come from the Sun (usually at or below the horizon), in which case, the phenomenon is known as one of the pillars of the sun or solar pillar. This Pano displays the scenario where I wanted to capture the environment near the pillar of light, for me is important to increase my collection of phenomena caused by light.
