The imagery/symbolism of this video are just haunting. The video itself is depiction of a self hell that we created thru the lies we tell ourselves. More telling is the image of the little girl burning her barbie doll, that shows her innocence vanishing into thin air right next to that is where you see a permcious teenage girl. This video is very unsettling once you get into the details of it. Id always felt that imagery / Symbolic gestures play a great part in music videos. I feel that it is a lost art in the music video world. Because if you look at the videos from the videos from 90s til the 05 videos always had some hidden meaning, easter egg, or a gesture that would make you scratch your head and say I wanna take a closer look at that. Although the lyircs to Black Hole sun are haunting in itself, nothing more haunting and possible more disturbing then the truth behind the lyrics
