The importance of creating, experiencing and sustaining positive - TopicsExpress

The importance of creating, experiencing and sustaining positive emotions cannot be understated. Emotions trigger vast biochemical chain reactions within our bodies that affect our health in various ways. Put simply, every time you get upset, angry, sad, depressed, worried, anxious or fearful you dramatically reduce your immune’s system’s power to protect you. Stress gives many conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and cancer the green light and accelerates the aging process. On the other hand, when you are in a state of positive emotion such as compassion, appreciation, awe, inspiration, gratitude, hope, love, and happiness you boost immune function, improve the body’s ability to clear and expel toxins and increase nutrient absorption. Many qualified researchers outside of the realm of mainstream science are examining how positive emotions may actually change the electromagnetic fields that radiate from the heart and how they potentially influence many unseen external factors more than we may currently realize. Find creative ways to experience positive emotion. Take time to be honest with yourself about what you’re feeling at any given time. If you find that you are worried, depressed or anxious take a deep breath and begin to seek out, find and examine the source of these feelings and take action. Focus only on the things that you can do something about. If something is totally out of your control put it out of your mind by finding at least one thing that you can exert positive influence over by taking action. Remember, e-motion is energy in motion. Learn to listen to your inner voice, your gut instinct, your amazingly precise gift of intuition. Feel the shift of consciousness occurring as you begin to focus more on solutions and less on problems. Let go of the need to make everything perfect and trying to control every variable. Instead, look for the things that are actually working in your favor right now. A great place is to start is with being thankful. If you have a roof over your head, clothes on your back and food in your cabinets you are already more fortunate that 3 billion people alive on the Earth today. Be thankful for everything life has given you, even the pain and suffering you have felt, for even these things can serve a meaningful purpose if you can take the right perspective. Because you may have suffered now you can better empathize, sympathize and express compassion. Because you have been treated unfairly at times you can better realize the value and importance of fairness. Because you have been criticized and insulted you can better appreciate the importance of offering a kind word, a helping hand or a listening ear to someone that needs a friend. Emotions provide instant valuable feedback about what is and isn’t working. Strive always to achieve ever increasing happiness, contentment, satisfaction, peace, joy and exhilaration. Do this, for the sake of your physical and mental health, for the quality of life that we all deserve, for finding a meaningful purpose to the life that courses through our veins. Learn to listen, think and live a little less with your mind…and more from the heart. 9/15/13 1:08pm
