The important thing for now is to remain focused, resolved and determined to change our situation in Gombe. Gombe South is 83% poor, Gombe Central 81% while Gombe North is 73% (possibly due to the housing of the state capital). We are essentially a poor lot and we must set the mechanism for reversing that. Education. 61.6% of female and 46.4% of the male population have no education at all. Only 2.0% of our female population has gone beyond secondary education while the % for male is 6.7 We need to en power our people to fit into the global scheme. We have no business being poor.
