The incredible accuracy of the Bible! Are we approaching end time prophecy being fulfilled? Here are a few thoughts: 1. The Bible predicted substantial wealth and luxury in these last days (James 5:1-3, Rev 3:17, Rev 18). It is interesting that 40 years ago some authorities predicted that the growing mass of humanity was so quickly depleting the worlds resources, that many resources would be exhausted in a few decades. Yet today, bast material wealth and luxuries are in abundant supply- just as the Bible anticipated 2000 years ago. 2. Apostasy (abandoning the faith) would occur just before the antichrist is revealed (2 Thess 2:3). Increasingly, experience-based Christianity is replacing the Bible as the standard for saving faith. The ecumenical movement is striving for unity at the expense of truth. Christs exclusive claims are negated in the name of tolerance. The preachers of the word of God are watering down truth and many telling people what their itching ears want to hear, just as the Bible predicted would take place. 3. There would be a move towards a one-world religion (Rev 13:8, 12; Rev 17). Today, as never before, we are witnessing religions joining hands in the name of peace and tolerance. This will make a way for the rise of the false prophet and antichrist. 4. Technology would be in place to put a mark on either your right hand or forehead that will enable you to use it to buy or sell as your bank account would be connected to it like a debit card. Without it, you would not be able to buy or sell (Rev 13). We are at a place in technology to easily move into this any day.
