The inherent desire of wanting to be certain we are right April 21, 2014 at 6:53am I believe the core problematic issue within the human experience has something to do with the inherent desire of wanting to be certain we are right (aka, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil). This is the root of the core problem within our united journey as mankind because as soon as we feel certain we are right we then believe we have the grounds to judge others. This is where all the evil in life takes place, isnt it? Right there in the assumptions that bind judgement of others together; for no matter what actions follow judging others, they are always justified in our minds for we are certain these judgmental actions are for the greater good, no matter how bad these actions truly are. But there is redemption from this root problem; it comes in an unusual and unexpected way. It is when we come to a place in our lives where we acknowledge our profound wrongness. When we can admit that even when we felt certain that we were right we were, in fact, wrong, changes something within our DNA. We lose the confidence to judge others (which is a good thing) for we are no longer convinced of our rightness; this leads us to understand the power and problem of judgement from a new position, and inevitably leads us to understand that it is mans assumptions and self-justifications in judging others that leads to all the mess and pain and suffering in the world. And so, through this revelation, we walk through a kind of rebirth experience into a place of grace that replaces our previous place of certainty. We no longer seek certainty, for we know it leads to false judgement of others. Instead, we seek grace, for ourselves and for others. We embrace the mystery and uncertainty of our faith and God and what we believe. We hold our beliefs in open palms instead of closed fists. We choose to be human, and embrace our oneness as humanity. Most of all, we choose to enter into dialogue and discussion where we previously only entered into battles and angry defense. I think the concept of dying to self/ego is really about dying to certainty, and learning to live anew by grace. To love instead of judge. To be free in a wild and mysterious belief in God instead of a slave to religion-made certainty, for belief in God is meant to be mysterious. Its not meant to be an angry declaration by a little group certain all the world is wrong except them. Its actually meant to be a happy discussion, full of awe and wonder, with all the world. JUDGE :~ This Means that we { Like a Judge } must listen very carefully to all the information Both from Prosecution & From Defence :~ once he/she has listened to all the Evidence :he then deliberates on this :~ having done so he then calls it to order & then PASSES Sentence Based on all of it :~ once we have passed a sentence on a particular thing { be it Doctrine } or other } then that sentence stands : Firm } UNTIL the JUDGE Reviews His Information & Passes a New sentence Either of Pardon or Further captivity ; this means when one does not listen carefully they make rash judgements & pass Sentence on it :We Can SEE this in All walks of life : EVEN in POST`s Comments Articles : IF WE PASS SENTANCE on anyone that sentence is IMMEDIATLY ENFORCED & Must be Carried out : { As Each of us do this :~WE ARE THE ONE`s WHO Are Bound By the sentence we Pass : { if you say a person is in ERROR then you have Passed Sentence on Them & YOURSELF & Will no Longer HEAR that Person : Therefore you Have SHUT the Door of Your Heart To Having a Teachable Spirit :D if a person is believed to be in error then simply Do Not Eat of that Bread : No Pointing of Fingers or Accusation of Error is Necessary : IT ALSO Means YOU Might be the one Who does not yet understand : SO DO NOT JUDGE ANOTHER For it Leads to Bondage : & Romans 2:1 is Relevant to You :D~@~ Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brothers eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brothers eye.
