The initial Gardendale Board of Education has taken office as of 6 PM tonight. Its taken a long time to get to this day, and a lot of work remains. I look forward to working with them as we pursue excellence in education for the Gardendale City School System. Theres no doubt in my mind that our students will enjoy a higher standard of academic achievement. I thank them for their willingness to serve, and will always support the system.
