The insistence on Afro-centric views is a sign of discontent not - TopicsExpress

The insistence on Afro-centric views is a sign of discontent not of a healthy remembrance or embrace of the past. This is clear when one sees how much of it is a fabrication that is always juxtaposed to Western and European achievements. Most of Afro-centric scholarship is weak and biased. They do not go into history to find the truth, they hammer their victimhood into history. Another case in point has been the insistence from many that Cleopatra was black. Some continue to be incensed at the thought of Elizabeth Taylor playing that role on a movie! Well, ALL historical evidence tells us that Cleopatra was a Macedonian Greek, not an African black. But who cares about history when there is so much to gain in protesting meaningless stuff. Another allegation has been that the great Greek thinkers stole their knowledge by raiding an important Egyptian library and proceeded to put their names on those works. Evidence? Zero. But, again, it sounds good to give people a lie that might make them feel good.
